Through a grant (Immigrant Initiative)  given to CHASHAMA, I will be teaching 2 workshops of 4 sessions each at Brooklyn Clay. 

The classes are for immigrant mothers living in CD38, SUNSET PARK. thank you to Carlos Menchaca for his support of the arts and our immigrant communities. 

The workshop will focus on creating a vessel of the participants choice  and process from hand building with clay, choosing a design and also glazing and bhisking their pieces until they are ready for full use. The class will help the participants find ways to relax and digest their lives, along with some sessions focussing on immigration law and rights of immigrants in this country. These workshops will be empowering women through knowledge of the law and also therapy of their soul.
