WORKSHOPS WITH STUDENTS
The artist has worked on various settings with different groups of students, working to incorporate social justice subject matters into the classroom. The students are given different tasks and narratives from the real world that they can interpret and use in the classroom. It is imperative that these issues are brought up in our youth, they are the ones that hold the key to change in our future.
The latest workshop was done in Colorado Springs at Colorado College, with two different classes. The subject matter was immigration and detention centers.
The students were given different objects picked up from the border between Mexico and the USA., they could choose to incorporate these objects in the making of their monologues. The results were remarkable.
